This extraordinary journey will begin in the morning, with pick-up carried out by the Living Private Tours tour expert at your hotel. From here, we will head towards the charming region of Távora-Varosa.

It is in this spectacular natural context that our arrival in Távora-Varosa takes place ! First area demarcated for the production of sparkling wines in Portugal, in 1989. It is known for producing high-quality sparkling wines, as well as still, white, rosé and red wines, with fruity aromas and flavors.
Our first stop will be at the famous Caves da Raposeira , whose foundation dates back to the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century. These have a rich legacy in the production of sparkling wines, according to the champenoise method.
In this beautiful place, rich in history and culture, you will take a guided tour. In which you will learn about the history of the property and the production processes carried out here. You will also have the opportunity to explore the cool, dark underground cellars, where the aging process of bottles of sparkling wine takes place.
The highlight of this visit will undoubtedly be the tasting of the region's wines. Where, you will taste some of the best wines from Távora-Varosa and sparkling wines from Raposeira. Feel the fresh and vibrant notes of these wines, while listening to the guides' enriching explanations.
After this unique experience, we will continue to Lamego, where we will make a stop. Located on the south bank of the Douro River, this city has a rich cultural and historical heritage. Take the opportunity to appreciate some of its best-known monuments, such as the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios.
Located on the high Monte de Santo Estevão, this 18th century sanctuary is known for its grand staircase with 686 steps, adorned with countless tiles. The top of this beautiful monument offers spectacular views of the city.
Around lunchtime, explore the local cuisine and enjoy a free lunch in a typical restaurant in the city. This will be a relaxing break where you can enjoy Beira delicacies and hospitality.
Right after lunch, we will head to Ucanha, a small and picturesque village located in the municipality of Tarouca, in the Douro. Here, have the opportunity to appreciate the unique beauty of this place, with its narrow streets and typical houses.
The highlight of this beautiful location is its Medieval Bridge and Torre de Ucanha. The bridge was built during the 12th century, being a beautiful example of Portuguese medieval architecture, having served as a passage for countless travelers over the centuries. At the end of the bridge, there is the iconic Torre de Ucanha, a 15th century building, with a very important role in the defense and control of the town.
After visiting this stunning place, it's time to head to the last wine estate of this experience, Caves Murganheira. Famous for its production of premium quality sparkling wines , it was founded in 1947. With around 60 years of existence.
In this place, we invite you to participate in a guided tour of the cellars, where their history and production processes will be explained. In these cellars, the use of traditional methods with modern technology stands out.
Also take the opportunity to see the aging phenomenon of its wines, carried out in cellars excavated in blue granite. Have the possibility to explore this fantastic place! The visit will be followed by a pleasant wine tasting, where you will taste some of the best sparkling wine on the property.
This spectacular day will end in the best way with the return to the undefeated city, Porto. Touring for one last time the undulating natural landscapes that characterize this beautiful wine and cultural region.
